However, one thing they DON'T teach you in class is that understanding yourself is important before you can begin to understand others. It's easy to memorize vocabulary and theories, but it's not easy to apply these things to ourself and come out with an accurate picture of who we are and why we think the way we think. Little bit of background: Hugo Chavez is the president of Venezuela and he recently held a referendum which would allow him to continue as president for his whole life if he so chooses. People were afraid that his Socialist government was moving closer to a dictatorship, so 51% voted against the proposed changes in the constitution. A lot of students are against Chavez in Venzuela, which is the point of this article
