I just nabbed the DVD box set of Planet Earth, and it's really fantastic. The cinematography is amazing. They've taken a few liberties with some of the footage, most notably with colorization (which I find a bit jarring) but overall it's just an amazing achievement. I'd reccomend picking it up. It's also available for download from bittorrent or elsewhere, but trust me - this is the sort of thing you want to see in the highest quality possible. It's the first thing I've seen that actually made me wish I had an HD movie player. Planet Earth in HD would be totally wankable, I'm telling you. :p

It's been a while since the last update, but glad to see everyone is enjoying the forum. There have been some great discussions lately!

At this point, we would like to announce Morro as the newest member of the talkSFU team. Morro has created some great threads on the forum, and I'm sure there are more to come. We are looking forward to more of the enthusiasm and leadership that Morro provides and as moderator, he will be able to do so more proficiently.

As a side note, I will no longer be using the account "Raize" as admin. Effective today, please direct all inquiries to me at "SR." As well, starting in January, we will be actively promoting talkSFU around campus, so if anyone would like to help please get in touch with me or any of the mods.

Hope classes are going well, look forward to more interesting posts!

Ever notice how some people at school work harder than others? There isn't really a point to this post, but to point out my realization that while I'm going from school to job to school and having to eat my lousy tuna sandwich while I write out an essay between classes...theres other kids who just try to cruise through. Are they smarter for doing so? Or is knowledge and understanding a better investment of your time?

some of the lines listed below may sound ridiculously simple, and that there’s no guarantee that any of them actually might work, but at least these lines guarantee this much: you’ll never get slapped in the face or kneed in the groin. And who knows? You might just get lucky enough to end the night with something more pleasant being done to your face and to your groin.

1. “Hi” or “Hello”

2. "What's your name?"

3. “I like you and I would like to get to know you”

4. "Excuse me, but I do think it's about time we met..."

5. "So what do I have to do to get your number?

6. "I was wondering if you have a moment to spare for me to hit on you?"

7. "So what haven't you been told tonight?"

Feel free to add any good lines that I’ve missed.
