I searched 'Carpool' and nothing turned up, so I thought I'd start a thread since I'm interested in getting someone to drive with me to Uni.

I live in West Vancouver, and I'm going to be heading to SFU Surrey Campus everyday at a pretty early time (given that traffic is a menace, and the Port Mann is crazy (Thank God for twinning and Gateway!)) But if I had someone with me we could a) Share the gas, YAY!, and b) Share the company! Yay friends! and c) Drive in the HOV lane! (haHaHA single occupancy vehicles!!!!)

So if anyone wants to join me (preferably in North Van or West Van or somewhere easy to get to and not totally out of the way (I will not be heading to Whiterock)), do say so. Lord knows that no one really wants to be on the Sky Train at whatever time to get to their 8:30 math classes!

This fall will be my first year going to SFU (directly from highschool) and I am thinking about getting myself a laptop... A lot of my teachers back in highschool told me that it is one of the "must have"s but I have also heard that some people got through fine without one? So I am very confused...

Well, I think I will be getting one anyhow and was just wondering just what kind of specs I should be looking for. I am going into my first year of bachelor of business admin program. I honestly don't know very much about computers and things like that and need help big time~

What kinds of programs will I be expected to use? Just simple Microsoft Office tools? How about gigs and ram and things like that...how about speed wise? I saw ones like "celeron" "centrino" and things like that for HP laptops....totally confused. Any little detail you can provide...will be appreciated greatly!!

The ISBN for just the big book is 9780321228147. Also the book for the PHIL XX1 class I'm kind of confused because it says "required" for the custom pub version and "recommended" for the exact same title but not custom pub...does that mean it is recommended that I buy BOTH versions? =/

Thank in advance for advices to follow~ and if anyone has good deals on any of the books please leave me a msg =) or email me at floralnk@hotmail.com

Hey guys. I was just wondering whether any of you could aid me in choosing the right class to fit into my Fall 2007 schedule. Currently, my schedule looks like this:

BUS 336 (M,W)
BUS 360 (W)
BUS 374 (T)
BUS 393 (R)

These are all upper level business core courses. The question I had was whether I should switch one of these classes to a class that falls into an area of concentration (switch BUS 374 to BUS 320) or leave it the way it is. Is it better to have a balance of core courses and concentration courses or take all the accounting (concentration) courses together? Thanks for the help!
