The CSSS is currently undergoing a heated debate about what kind of presence they should have at Surrey. Opinions range from none at all to every other meeting held at Surrey.

The crux of the problem is that many Burnaby CSSS members strongly believe that SFU Surrey students are absolutely unwilling to participate in developing a community at the Surrey Campus. It would help strongly if some of you could comment on that at the CSSS forum.

The CSSS provides all kinds of services to its members, ranging from free wings nights to conferences. (Most recently, the NTCU). It receives thousands of dollars in funding each year from the school, the SFSS, and through its own revenue streams (pop machines and photocopiers), all of which is dedicated towards building a stronger experience for its members.

What do you find yourself thinking about most? Is it how much your job will pay after you grad? Do we really care about others that are part of our community(the community of humans as a whole), but are not so well off as we are(nobody knows you when you're down" -Eric Clapton).

So what is/are the most important thing(s) of your life? Consider how much of your time/money/thoughts go towards these things, and that should probably give you some indication. Put this list into the order that you think are your priorities and add other categories that fit.

-Things along with wealth(computers, m/c's etc.)
-Friends
-Family
-School
-Fun
-Happiness(different than fun, though many find their happiness in fun)
-People in need(physical needs, psychological, social, etc.)
-Sheep

For the first half of my undergraduate career I thought I would go to graduate school straight out of undergrad before realizing that I would have no chance without any work experience. During my co-op I had a really great experience working with a lot of people my age and making a decent amount of money. As of right now, I'm intent on working between four and five years before going back for an MBA.

However, I'm afraid that as my career in accounting progresses I'll find it harder and harder to justify the opportunity cost of going back to school. Has anyone had any experience with this? Was making the decision to pursue an MBA easy or difficult? Looking back, did you have any serious doubts and/or fears about your decision and how it might impact your life on both financial and personal levels?

At SFU, I know so many of us do.

Anyways,where are the places where it's fine if people nap, and where are the places where it usually isn't fine?

I once napped in the Bookstore - and the employees there kicked me out (even though there were sofas). Funny thing was that I napped next to a dark-skinned person who looked homeless (he was also napping). The employee told the other person to leave - and only told me to stop napping.

I've napped on residence a few times as well - the CAs usually take issue with that (there are general lounge in the dormitories, and sofas but I guess people need them to watch tv).

I've also napped on the computer lab chairs as well - some people seem to take issue with that - but it's more often than not ignored. The libraries do have sofas on the main floor though - and they're filled with nappers.

The individual department buildings have different informal policies. I've been kicked out in some buildings - and ignored in other buildings. Some of the departments have a particular couch that is often used for napping (usually in the grad lounge but not everyone has access).
