doesn't look like you get back much of what you paid..

might as well just save the textbooks, since working a couple hours will equal up to what they pay on a textbook..

I thought of that but then I thought do I really ever want to read these again? It seemed like in some courses they only want academic jounrals of sources rather than the specifically mentioned "textbooks for other classes"

I did BuyBack for my first semester, and never did it again. They gave me $25 for my chem text (which I remember buying for at least $90) and $2 for each of my English novels. I don't know why I agreed to sell them for that little... it was right after my finals, I must've been totally brain dead =[. Since then I've only sold books to other students. It takes up a lot more time and energy, but SFU BuyBack rips you off! (imo)

    ^ that really sucks :(

i use the buyback textbook search on my.sfu.ca to check out the buyback prices for my books and then i can see whether it's worth it for me to sell.

for those who don't know you login into my.sfu.ca and there should be buyback search link on the right side. you just enter the isbn and if they are buying back the text for that class, they'll list the price and the quota and how much of the quota has been filled up.
