Corequisite requirement question
I have a question and thought that this would be the perfect place to ask.
My question is:
If I already have the corequisite of a course from a previous term, will that satisfy the corequisite(coreq.) requirement for that course?
In other words, is it absolutely necessary to take the coreq. at the same time as the course that requires the coreq.?
I will be starting at SFU in September and I only plan to take a course a term. Since I work, and take care of a family, and am also doing a degree at BCIT, one course is all I can do at the moment. Since some courses have coreqs., it will put a cramp in my planning if there isn't some flexible way to deal with this.
I would imagine that there would be no problem in taking the coreq. first(along with any prereqs.) and then the course which requires the coreq.(and/or prereqs.) next.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Justin.

Comments
but basically,
corequisite = taken at same time (b/c perhaps the material overlap somehow)
prerequisite = taken prior
dont believe there is any way around this :/
and no mean/stupid ans plz....aka yogibear1991
a pre-req is a course you need to have taken before you take the course you want.
"Hi Justin,
In the faculty of science the answer is yes; if a course is listed as a co-requisite you can take it before you take the course it's listed as a co-requisite for - and it is often an advantage for students to do so.
Sincerely,
Dr. Northwood"
So, basically, if you are in the faculty of science a co-req. can be a pre-req.
