Question about transferring courses taken at two different colleges in the same semester to SFU
I am a student at Kwantlen right now with over 60 credits and in good standing. However, in the fall semester of 2012 I took an intro to french course at Langara while taking 4 other courses at Kwantlen.
Unfortunately, I failed the french course at Langara and was put on academic probation because I did not achieve 1.50 for that semester. After that I have not taken any other courses at Langara and have retaken that intro to french course at Kwantlen.
I want to transfer to SFU, but I am wondering if this policy applies to my situation: if you are not in good standing or have been required to withdraw from another university, you will be considered for admission only if you have completed 24 units or more of transferable course work since being required to withdraw. A GPA on the further course work of at least .50 points above the regular admission GPA will be required.
Note: Both of the intro french courses I taken at Langara and Kwantlen transfers as unassigned credits, as a result I cannot replace the failed course at Langara with the Kwantlen one.
