Enough with worry about the Americans, what about us? With our very own election looming (October 14, in case anyone hasn't been watching the news), I pay particulary close attention to each party's policy on our economy and more specifically, their plan protect Canada from an American style economic catastrophe.

wtf are you talking about? That is the stupidest logic I have ever seen (assuming that you are actually implying that their election is). I think the american election doesn't really matter in the short-term...whatever candidate is chosen, it doesn't change the current situation.. Obama is just a sensation...hes not gunna be able to change jackshit for a while...i mean he cant just suddenly replenish the 700 billion dollars once he gets elected, or even pull out of iraq right away. and McCain...well hes just another Bush. The economic crisis will happen and we need to decide what candidate will be heading OUR government when it does... I suggest you go and look at each of their platforms and make an informed decision, instead of ignoring it altogether because you think the American election is more significant. and just for the record, neither Dion nor Layton are capable leaders. Harper is the only competent fool among the three and he is definitely more cunning, so I pretty much can guarantee that the Conservatives will stay in power.

im leaning towards the liberals right now....havnt checked out the platforms yet so im not concrete on my decision yet why are dion.layton applicable?? all politics are a joke, but nothing tops the american system..they've been in the campaigning process for over a year...whereas our election will be over in a month or so....
