Not as much. Blue had some good songs, but it pales in comparison to 3eb where every track is outstanding.

The '59 Sound was one of the best songs (and albums) of last year.
Fuck yes. Saw them open for Rise Against last winter. Fucking awesome.

Thinking about going to their show in September.

I was at that show too. Three of my favourite bands played (Gaslight, Rise Against, Thrice) so that was an amazing show for me.

Wish I could go to the show in September... they were here earlier this year as well. It sucks being 18 without a fake ID in Vancouver. Almost every show is at the 19+ venues for smaller bands (Commodore, Richards on Richards, Plaza, Biltmore, etc.)

Richards on Richards is closed. No more shows.

I've heard from a reputable source that it's moving north, by Seymour where the old A&B sound used to be.
  • edited July 2009
Thanks for the confirmation. Oh man another Vancouver landmark closes down. That's really too bad because Richards on Richards was a great place to see up and coming musicians before they make it big.

This is correct. It's moving into the old A&B Sound building.

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know

Stereophonics - Have A Nice Day

Also, check out anything by Nick Drake. He led an incredibly tragic life, and is probably one of the most talented and most under-appreciated guitarist today.
