anyone care to share their past experiences buying textbooks from amazon.ca?

    It can take a while depending on if your buying from amazon directly (which usually takes longer) or from a seller. If buying from a seller, make sure to check the seller ratings. Also, check prices at both amazon and abebooks to get the cheapest books:

    how reliable is abebooks? i searched for a textbook there and its selling at $1 instead of ~$130 o_O

    If the seller has a fine rating it should be OK. I've ordered from abebooks a few times.

    One thing you should watch out for is that they often sell "international" editions. One book I ordered was an international edition and all of the questions were different, but the rest of the content was the same. Though I really only needed it for the question... One of the many ways these asshole textbook houses try to fuck people over.

    Though I'm not certain how to check this with great confidence and for some books it probably doesn't even matter!
