Hey guys I am taking Crim 135 with Bowbrick.

How is his midterm like??

  • I had him for the same class but at Douglas College. I'm not sure if it'll be the same one as I wrote but when I took it, it was a mixture of multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay type questions.
  • Do you remember any heavy details that the Exam was based upon??
  • Ah shit, I took it almost 6 years ago. I don't think there was a heavy focus on anything.
  • Not sure if he's still the same now but 4 years ago the textbook wasn't tested on at all. 100% from the lecture.

You also gotta watch out for his marking scheme. Basically when you answer the written questions make sure you give as much detail as possible. Put down everything you know about the definition and the question, literally everything. Even stuff that you think may not necessary relevant to the question but it relates to the topic, put it down.

As far as what's emphasized goes I think you can get a good idea based on how much time he's spending explaining something. Canadian Constitution would obviously be a good topic to test you on. Have you gotten to tort law yet? I can almost guarantee you Negligence would be on the exam.
  • Wow, he was one of the first profs I ever had, roughly 6 years ago. Also the first exposure I ever had to law and sparked my interest in it. Glad to hear he's still around. My recollection was that there was a bunch of material relating to the Oake's test, but I can't quite remember if that was the MT or the final.
