Need Advise: What is Intersession like? Is it hard?

Im thinking of taking one intersession course this summer. 

Has anyone taken an intersession before? If so is it hard? Is it easy? How much faster are things run in an intersession course?

Do they have online intersession courses?

    yes, it is twice as fast

    Intersession is more intense and you really have to keep up with assignments/readings.  Otherwise it can be nice to have a class over fast.
