LOL my bad. I think people need to read the whole thread before they post misleading information. This poor guys probably even more confused now than he was when he made the original post lol

The point is, don't give up man, go talk to an advisor at least and see what you can do. Once you give up trying to stay here you don't belong here simple as that.
  • you guys... I'm so sad.

but I"m glad I randomly stoppped by here.. I just got withdrawn... again. I apparently have anxiety problems

If anyone could help me out and push me through this shitty stage (and remind me everything will be fine... I'd be happy)
  • Or I don't even know where to start.. I want to take courses at a college then transfer back to SFU. All I see in front of me is a huge dark wall that won't let me see what I can do
  • McDonalds.
  • Take courses at langara or something to raise your GPA...then transfer back in

TracyMary10, I know it's tough right now but just remember that you're still young! it's not the end of the road for you. I know many many people who end up withdrawing from SFU, UBC, for various reasons and some of them either go transfer to a community college to get their grades back up or take a break from school to really understand what went wrong or what they really want to do

I would say if you already have in mind what major you want, transfer to another college to get your gpa back up..but if you think it would be best to just take a break for a few months, maybe work/volunteer/or get your anxiety back in control, this is another option too. Don't feel stressed if you feel you're behind...sometimes its better to slow down a bit to really see what you want and what options are out there before diving in without really considering everything

Good luck! The only dark walls/ obstacles we face are the ones we put in front of ourselves; ik this sounds kinda corny but just remember when shit happens to you try to take it as a learning experience and show em what you got! you got this!!! don't let it take you and bring you down kk? I believe in you :)
  • ^that's awesome
  • Keep your head up and start thinking positively. I was rtw and ended up transferring back just this January! It wasn't an easy road but I made sure to let myself know every night that I will be returning. Let me know if you have any questions!
  • Taking a semester off can help. Taking courses every term will wear you down and you will do poorly. As people mentioned go to langara or douglas as those usually have courses that transfer back. Don't go BCIT, they don't transfer any (unless certain programs like CST - but even then, you get less than half the credit amount for double the work)
  • Wal-Mart "We Hire for Less"
  • computer science is 2.4 lol. courses in the upper division has to be a C or higher (2.00) and CGPA has to be over 2.40.
