What courses to take in First year to transfer to UBC Sauder?

Hello all, 

I've been wait listed for UBC and I missed the deadline to accept my U of T Rotman Commerce offer, so I will be attending SFU Beedie School of Commerce next fall.

I was wondering if there are any courses UBC likes in particular so I can transfer into Sauder? of even Rotman?
And can you put down the names so I can enroll in them?

    If we knew what classes UBC likes, we all would have gotten into UBC!

    I'm only at SFU because I missed the deadline for Sprott Shaw.

    oh, I just thought people would fucking help me with their experiences. No wonder they say SFU kids have no social lives. They're bitter about not getting into UBC...

    Well since sauder has set time tables, there are very specific courses you need to take in order to transfer to the second year of the program. Now you should be able to research this yourself, but I'll be a nice guy and fill you in:


    From this you can see that in order to transfer into second year sauder you need the equivalent of econ 101, econ 102, math 104, engl 112. *edit* you also need at least 27 credits. So make sure to take full course loads.

    using the bc transfer guide this translates to econ 103, econ 105, math 157, and at least a C in ENGL 199 (or other transferable course.)

    SFU business is actually quite good though. You might find you like it and end up staying. Otherwise, take those courses, do really well, and you should be able to transfer.

    Oh god i remember you from studentawards as well hahaha. 

    I would suggest Queen's Commerce or Ivey if you really want to transfer. It's not like Sauder is that much better than Beedie anyways.
