Transit to SFU

Hi,

I am curious about which route is best.
I am coming from Joyce skytrain area, and wondering if the bus from Metrotown is faster than either the Lougheed Bus or the Production Way bus. I am assuming there is long lines at the Production Way.

And yes, I know translink has a "timed" way of looking. I am just looking for actual advise.
I am planning on driving if I have a long day of classes.
So skytrain/bus is my preferred method.

    144 SFU is probably best from Metrotown. You will be guaranteed a seat too and it comes every 15 mins.

    Hey teedee, I live near joyce station too.

    The fastest way is to go from joyce to broadway, then use the millenium line to production, onto 145.  Going one way from joyce to production the other way seems to be slower for some reason, and is annoying sometimes because more people use that way and crowds like a B**** while getting off at production.

    Going home however, it is faster for some reason going through 1 way from production to joyce station.  It is better too if you want to sleep on the skytrain and not switch trains

    From my experience it is like 45 mins on 144 from Metrotown also though but maybe different at rush hour. Saves transferring several times and you can just kick back and relax and nap or study without getting off.

    I find 144 and skytrain->145 take about the same amount of time. Although in the winter, I like to take the 144 so I don't have to line up in the cold...

    I'm going to be heading to SFU from Joyce too! :D maybe i'll see you around, haha. I did do a testing before from Joyce to Production Way and both directions to Production Way took about 25 min (I think one was 23 min and one was 27 min, but I forgot which was which.) Assuming lines are okay at Production Way, it should take ~45 mins to get to SFU via skytrain+145. I took the 144 from SFU to Metro once and that by itself took ~50 minutes. ):
