CHEM 282 Plettner Vs. Kreis

edited July 2013 in General
Like the title says, my question is about who is the better prof?? I want to take chem 282 next semester and get it done and get chem over with for good (provided chem 286 doesn't happen) however the prof that is teaching is Erika Plettner, whose reviews are absolutely horrible. And Kreis isn't that good either

  • I never took Plettner, but wow, those are the worst review I have ever seen for a prof.  I would go with Kreis then.  Kreis can be arrogant and often is not very approachable, but he'd at least be better.
  • I'm gonna take it with Plettner, fuck the reviews, just beat the grading curve and get my A+
  • I took Chem 282 with Plettner, and Chem 286 (the lab part) with Kreis.
Plettner has a thick accent, some concepts she explains well, others she does not.
Kreis was pretty intimidating in the lab, but explains concepts well.
My advice is study your ass off, as OChem 2 is harder than the first one. If you do that, then the instructor does not matter, get ready for a lot of mechanisms!!!
    GOOD LUCK.
  • So Plettner is helpful and not stuck up like it says in the comments as long as show her you are trying hard
