Hi!
I am taking both of these classes on the Fall.

  • Some comments on the classes and instructors, please? Thanks a lot!
  • Most advisors will tell you not to take both macro and micro at the same time as the ideas can easily be confused. I took 103 and while the material wasn't very difficult the assignments were hard and marked very harshly.
  • ^Like 112233 has said, it's gonna be a bit confusing because the two aren't THAT related so you have to be able to differentiate the different points/theories and ALSO don't get the graphs mixed up! Micro - is more about individuals, business, decisions, game theory; macro concerns the bigger picture of the economy - how the world economy works, how GDP works, inflation, unemployment etc. My friend also took them both in the same semester and got C+ in both?

The thing is, of course it does depend on the person and you might do great in both courses. But just a precautionary thing - you may want to take a lighter course load along with econ 103/105 like don't take math 157 and buec or philosphy in the same semester esp if its your first! It does also depend on how your study habits and time management is but yeah do your best and don't be afraid to ask questions in class! best of luck girl!!
  • I found Dudnyk's accent really hard to understand.
  • Thanks a lot guys! :)
  • Are you planning to be an Econ major?
