    @Crimematic ... yeah, I meant first semester for first years.  But even 2nd semester, you can do fairly well.

    @Beanbean Some of my friends compared enrollment dates.  When credit number was around the same, you would often see lower GPAs getting earlier dates than higher GPAs.  I used to think GPA played a small role, but I just haven't seen any actual evidence of it.  I hope it does, just haven't seen it.

    You can actually tell what priority you have by going to your advising transcript, it'll have what "level" you are.  It changes by credits (notwithstanding scholarship status).
  • Its totally based on GPA. I got the earliest priority in my first year because I got full entrance scholarship from highschool but after I failed one shitty phil course, my enrollment was just few days ahead of open enrollment. Oh by the way, never take philxx1 with Jill Mc unless u wonna kill ur GPA.

  • "I got the earliest priority in my first year because I got full entrance scholarship "

    Hence, scholarship students get priority. But that's not the same as GPA. You can have a higher GPA than a scholarship student and get a later enrollment.
  • Oh ok, so it's just the same few people spamming crim crim crim crim all the time :P
  • enrollment goes by priority of:
    Scholarships->Fist years (or first semester?)->Total credits->GPA

    GPA is extremely small factor. I had a high GPA, and comparing with someone with low GPA we got pretty much the same enrolment date.

    So unless you get scholarships, or you are first year, I think its mostly based by total credits.
  • Imagine if we had a Black Friday madness for course registration....
  • @Whydoihavetoregister We don't have a Black Friday for course but we definitely have a Cyber Monday (it's a real thing) for courses. If we did have Black Friday there would definitely be blood and it would be like that recent episode of South Park on Black Friday. It'd be pretty evil... just put a bunch of pieces of paper that represent a spot in the course on shelves and open the doors. Anarchy ensues...

    GPA is defs a factor but not that big. Only a factor when two people have the same amount of credits, then GPA will weigh in. Scholarship= automatic above all depsite credits/GPA. But I had a higher GPA than all my friends with the same credits and ended up getting a day earlier than them.
