Hi guys,

I'm pretty sure I'll be RTW this semester and I was wondering how can I apply to colleges? I read a pamphlet SFU

gave me and they said its pretty difficult for any college to accept me because they require applicants to have a

GPA above 2.0. But I've seen a lot of posts around here about people who applied to colleges and got back in.

What colleges do people usually go to with a GPA below 2.0? I'm planning on using my high school grades but

I dont know how to explain the one year gap between now and my high school graduation.

Im on rtw, how can I get into other colleges

I kinda messed up with my first couple semesters, and my gpa is super low. bot didn't go well either, screwed up at the second-last week :(

now Im on Rtw(required to withdraw) and have to get into another college, boost up my gpa, and reapply to sfu later.

the problem is I don't know how to do this. Is there a specific format I have to follow in order to apply to colleges as a rtw from sfu?

Or do I just apply as an undergraduate? If so, can I use my high school grades to get in?

I talked with academic advisor a bit about this, but she seemed unsure and have no one to ask :'(

any former rtw students here?

Semiconductors, often called chips or microchips, are critical to Canada's national security, economy and technological interests. Nearly every industry including automotive, defence and telecommunications require semiconductors. The semiconductor shortage impacts the production of products such as automobiles, consumer electronics and medical devices.

In response to the shortage, the Government of Canada is seeking ambitious, large-scale ideas from industry and other ecosystem players that address how Canada can build on existing R&D and manufacturing strength, contribute to a national network and supply chain and position Canada as a critical global supplier of specialized semiconductors manufacturing such as:

Sensor and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS): custom semiconductor devices that perform sensing and actuating functionalities, such as gyro sensors for videogame controllers, inertial sensors for automobiles, and micro-mirrors for telecommunications

Compound semiconductors: combine 2 or more elements (e.g. gallium nitride, indium phosphide) and provide power, speed and durability advantages over traditional silicon mass-market components. These advanced chips are critical to a wide array of industry verticals, from defence to clean technology to telecommunications

Advanced packaging: involves placing multiple semiconductor devices in a single package using a variety of distinct techniques (e.g. wafer-level packaging, 2.5D and 3D integration, photonics), resulting in improved connectivity and reduced power consumption

Cannot find a course in "My Schedule"

Hello! I am a new student and will begin my first semester in SFU on September. And I've got a quick question with finding a course in my schedule.

So my major is Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and I'm considering taking CHEM 121 in the first semester. But when I try to look for this class on My Schedule, it doesn't appear, does anyone know what's going on?

Personally I am guessing it's because the course is not being offered in the following semester? If that is the case, what would you recommend me to do? I thought of taking CHEM 120 instead of CHEM 121, but I also found that CHEM 121 is the prerequisite of another required course called "CHEM 281".

My enrollment date is tomorrow and I am not really sure how to deal with this issue, sorry for reaching to you so late because I've only discovered this problem a few moments ago. Hopefully I can receive an answer from you! Thank you!
