wanting to transfer to business

edited March 2015 in General
I'm in the arts and social sciences right now. I've heard admission is difficult when transferring to beedie, with GPA needing to be at least 3.0, usually more. Is it doable? Especially without exceptional math skills, mine are okay but not the best. Does anyone have any tips or personal experience on how they were able to successfully transfer to business?

I transferred into business. It's the easiest thing i've ever done. If you get around 3.07, you'll probably get in. Most of the courses are super easy. All you need to do is be organized and put in a decent amount of effort and you'll probably get in. I had a 3.5 when I transferred and I put in minimal effort. At first it seems like the entrance GPA is really high, but in reality, it's fairly easy to achieve.
  • Ah, okay, thank you. Wow 3.5 without effort tho, you sound like someone super smart!
  • No, not really. It's just other business students don't try that hard in lower division courses so it's fairly easy to do well. I mean you still have to study, but it's not as hard as it seems. That's the point I was trying to get at.

If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask.
