Enrollment Deadline Approaching, Marks Still Witheld. What do!?!?

edited September 2015 in General
Hey guys, I am a 4th-year computing science student around the end of campus days. According to planning I should be able to graduate by the end of this Fall semester, but only assuming if I passed MACM 316 from last semester(I am not 100% sure about this)

However, the strike is going on so long and the enrollment deadline(14th) is approaching. I need to decide if I need to re-take MACM 316, but it is a huge dillema for me; Retaking MACM 316 requires me to do a BIG overhaul to my schedule and forces me to go through the math nightmare for one more semester since I cannot drop after 14th. If I just keep my courses without retaking past 14th, I am at risk since I might have failed 316 last semester and have no chance to reschedule my classes.

What should I do about my situation? Do they allow special arrangement with add/drop in circumstance like this?

  • I know I hate it when people say "Talk to your department academic advisor", but this is the only advice I can recommend for this. They are the ones that would know more and be more helpful depending on how willing to help they are in your department as it varies.

But man, students like you need to be on the news about this to tell your story.
  • Hi darke,

have you tried asking your instructor/TA whether you passed the course? They're not able to give out letters or numbers, but most will tell you that much -- especially if you explain your situation.
