Lectures and Tutorials

edited January 2008 in General
I took my first year at college and just transferred to SFU for the spring semester.

I'm very confused about the stuff about Lectures and Tutorials. Do we have to go to both? I see that some tutorials don't give credits.
Because of the odd schedules with the Lectures and Tutorials, I only managed to register for 4 courses this semester.

they usually take attendance but not always in tutorials. Most of the time , there is attendance mark which is worth little -> but it is good for disputing your final mark

usually the first day of lecture or the first tutorial you will be told whether tutorials are mandatory and if so, the percentage it is worth and how they will mark it.
sometimes the tutorials are just held as open office hours, where you just go in and ask a question if you have one and if you don't, you don't attend.
