Course pre-requisite leniency?
well here's my situation, during my first year, as many of you may have done the same, i took Math 154 and Math 155.
Now it's my second year and i realized to take my other REQUIRED courses, MATH 232 and MATH 251, i needed B's in both of those courses(MATH 154 155).
i've already wasted one re-take on getting my MATH154 to a B+ and doing my MATH232 right now.
However, i don't want to take 155 again, waste $600 on the course, a retake, and a slot for my courses in my next semester. Are academic advisors able to bypass this prerequisite?
Keep in mind, i did a B+ when i re took 154, and all my courses right now have improved by at least one letter grade or two up to an A+ in one of my courses.

Long Answer: All you need to do is ask the profs who are teaching those required classes and see if they'll let you in their class. Simple as that. It sounds like you're talking about upper level classes if you need MATH232 and 251, so they'll have no problem letting you in. I've done that many times before actually...I email the profs letting them know my situation (I don't have the required B or whatever) and then ask them for permission. They'll then reply you and tell the advisor to place you in his class or ask you to forward the email to the advisor.
