Major? Minor? Double Major? Advice please. :)

Alright, so I am just starting my first year this fall. I know I'm thinking very far ahead, but I don't like things catching me by surprise. 

Anyways, my future career plans are to become a English/Socials High School Teacher. I adore History and English equally and I can't decided how I want to work out my degree. I've been thinking of doing a double major, English and History, and a minor in Educational Physiology. My first question is; is that even allowed? I'm not really sure about double major + minor. I haven't seen it anywhere. My second question is; how many semesters would a double major add onto my time at school, as I am on a 'timed scholarship' that runs out after five years.

    I know a guy that did a triple minor in Business, Sociology and Psychology

    That sounds interesting. Hm... I just really enjoy learning and I know minors have less requirements, which means I'll be taking less classes. :S I think I should look into that though. If anything, it's better than nothing. See, if the courses I take don't go towards my major or minor, my scholarship doesn't cover them. :(

    So SFU has 3 requirements
    W-Lower level writing course and upper level writing course, can be in your major subject
    Q-6 credits of Quantitative classes, can be in your major subject
    B- 6 credits of BHum, 6 credits of BSci, 6 credits of BSoc, 6 credits outside of your major.
    All Breadth must be outside your major subject UNLESS you are doing a joint or double major in which case that rule is waived.

    Now, there are double majors and joint majors.  Double majors are completing 2 different majors.  However, Joint Majors are majors created between complementary programs to get it done in 120 credits.  

    There might be a history-English joint major, but I did find a History-Humanities and English-Humanities.

    Adding a minor might bring the total to over 120, but could easily be done in under 5 years.  Remember, SFU uses the trimester system so you can take a class or two over the summer if need be.

    may not be relevant, just ignore me here if it isn't, those extra courses will cost you some real money
