4 exams on consecutive days?

I'm doing course planning right now for my first semester at SFU in the fall.

I was planning to take:

ECON 103 - Douglas Allen

MATH 157 - Stephen Choi

ENG 102W - Michael Everton

BUS 201 - Peter Tingling

but then I realized all the exams for these courses were on consecutive days...

Has anyone had 4 exams on consecutive days before? Is it a bad decision to have the exams like that? 

Any comments on the teachers? (:

I always pick my classes partially based on when the exams are.  I try to give at least 2 days in between if I can.  I would never do 2 exams in one day, unless it was unavoidable.  I don't know why you would want to work hard all semester only to risk getting killed because you had 4 exams in 4 days.  That could be ~160% worth of your marks in half a week.

It's not THAT bad if you have a good study plan. If you study and put in effort consistently then this shouldn't be all that big of a problem. You could even stay home and play video games before and after the exams if you've studied consistently.

Only 1 each day really doesn't sound that bad as long as you don't get behind in your classes. If you're relying on cramming you're going to have to fix that anyway. You say this is your first semester? If you did well in high school without much effort expect that to change, you will need to put in the effort. Don't get behind!!! Stay on track and you will be fine.

I took 4 final exams in 4 consecutive days in my first semester at SFU. Its not that bad as long as your begin studying far enough in advance. I didn't, then panicked, and focused on only two exams and blew off the other two, so make sure you start weeks in advance.

Honestly it's not that bad of a situation. It's pretty bad if you have 2-3 exams on the same day on the first day of exam week and 2 the day right after, now that's bad. If you have good study habits at least 2 weeks before the first exam, then you should be fine.

I've had 3 exams on 3 consecutive days and it's not that bad, just don't slack and leave things last minute to cram. As for the courses you mentioned..

ECON 103 with Allen, Gurrrrl be prepared. The exams will be notoriously hard, the subject is counter intuitive and the textbook is kind of vague but the thing is Allen is a GREAT lecturer. He speaks really well, is interesting in lectures, never makes the class dull BUT his exams are crazy because it's all applied - you can't just memorize the text and rely on your high school studying skills. Gotta think outside the box. The course is curved though (avg is a C or C+) so do your best and try to beat the average. I failed the midterm lol but I worked really hard on the homework assignments and studied ma ass off for the final, ended up with a B-

and if you are taking it with MATH 157, also gotta be prepared and dont fall behind. (if you took calculus in grade 12, math 157 won't be as bad but if you didn't, buckle up)

Also, I Took ENG 102 Intro to Poetry and it is the most boring course I have taken in the history of my undergrad career at SFU. Unless you like english, disecting random weird poems, listening to your prof bs about the irrelevant dictions of a word than go for it but honestly I didn't think I learned a lot from that class. Maybe go to the first few lectures and see how you like it because my prof sucked, maybe your prof is a lot better?Going from your courses it seems you want to get into Business or maybe you already got in? Congrats if you got accepted from high school. if not lol do your best SFU business is infamously hard to get into. but you can do it!! just pray the curve is on your side!
