  • Depends. I thought 103 was easier cuz it was more fun and engaging to my everyday life (had it with doug allen) but i know lots of people who don't like him and don't do well.

105 is very well.. bland. It's like government econ and business econ kinda stuff. Was really boring for me so i didn't do as great as 103.
  • Simple answer, 103 is harder plain and simple...but if you actually have an interest in Economics take it cause it might be very interesting to you. (It was for me, got a higher mark in 103)

103 is harder but if you take 103 first 105 is a joke. Doug Allen is right 105 is just one big application of the supply and demand curve

Edit : Since you only need one go w/ 105. 103 churns out some scary grades
  • in general 105 is easier but in the end it all depends on ur prof.  try to avoid krauth for 105 and allen for 103.
  • What's wrong with taking it with Allen? Is it his teaching methods? And thanks everyone for your help!
  • he's one of those profs where u either love him or you hate him. most people are the latter
