Begging professor to pass me in CMPT 120?
As the title suggests.....I did well overall in the course, got perfect in most of the assignments. But the problem is that in order to pass the course, you need to pass the final, which was today. And I'm not confident I will pass it.
I'm a fourth year student about to graduate at the end of the year but I need this first year course in order to do so (never finished my science quantitative requirements). I've already failed this course once before during first year and this semester, I attempted it again.
If I do fail the final, it'll most likely be by a little, judging from how the final went. You think I can beg the professor to give me a way to makeup those lost percentages? Or maybe a way to force him into passing me? My life literally rides on this, if I can't pass this, my life might as well be over.

So my final grade is F. I need some advice.
On the breadth requirement page, it says something about double majors only needing one breadth course for science/quantitative. Anyone know if this is still in effect? Because I have a double major in English and Communications but my degree plan still says I need 6 credits.
Is there also anyway I could ask them to wave the requirements?
I cannot find any reference to the joint English/Communications major on either of the communications or english sites so I can't say for sure. Reading on the page that talks about breadth requirements though It seems to suggest that you can use one set of breadth courses ( 6 B-sci/soc/hum, and the required W/Q) to satisfy the breadth requirements for both degrees. I know there are programs where you only need one B-sci course (many science programs for example) so it could be the case.
On the topic of waiving things as people have said you would need to talk to an advisor. You might be able to get breadth things waived, though I kind of doubt it. I dont think it is possible to get credit requirements waived though, they are pretty fundamental to "degree completion".
Talk to n advisor and see what they can do. Absolute worst case scenario you will have to do another semester, which in reality is not the end of the world.
