If I dropped a course and reselect it to change the schedule of the lecture, will that show up on my transcript? It says dropped under status so I was just curious.
@shadysimon: make sure you aren't taking ling 110 with yourie pankratz..=( horrible prof where the lectures go all over the place.. according to my frd who took both classes with him.. there were a couple of times where lectured us with ling 100 course material.. @_@
@agentbob: no.. it should not show up on your transcript.. i believe the only case where it show is when you repeat or withdraw after their final due date.. =)
My enrollment date was pretty late...November 22. LING 110 (Wonder of Words) - Has anyone taken this course or know what it is like? I have no idea what to expect and am now kind of thinking to not take it...(I too am looking for "GPA boosters" and wondering if this maybe helps or is a relatively easy course?)
shadysimon, I'm taking this course with P. Mcfetridge. He wrote the book, and doesn't change editions, so he strictly follows the book. He's pretty easy, all his lectures are recorded online as well, so if you miss a class it's not a problem. I found the midterm easy, if you go to all his lectures, because he does PLENTY of examples in class.
If you still want CMNS 110, I would suggest giving the adviser a call. I phoned her yesterday while I was making my choices and explained that I will be declaring my Major in Communications. I guess they have about half the class reserved, that sounds like a lot to me.

I must have made a typo, it wasn't 110, I've taken that one already. I believe I meant 210 but there's no chance of that at this point. I'm number 9 on the list for 253 so I believe I'll get in.
I'm finding a fourth still, and I was going to enroll in 220 distance, but for some reason it won't let me because I'm doing 250 distance. Is there a rule against this? Alright, I'm now in EDUC260W and this looks scary LOL.
I would call the CMNS advisors and explain to them that 230 is a requirement and I really do need to take it...but I'm not willing to do that until my marks come back this semester and my GPA will have a nice, nice boost. :D
