D in math151

edited December 2007 in General
So I got a D in math151
Am I correct to assume that I will need to retake 151 before I can go into math152 and beyond?

For some reason I'm pretty sure this is what I was told, however I can't find it anywhere

You need a C- or better to get credit for ANY course in SFU. Therefore, you get neither the credit from Math 151 nor the pre-req for Math 152.

sorry you have to man up and retake it

You can take 154 which is slightly easier, and will overwrite the 151 credit.

really Morro? I thought it needs to be the same class. I have an outstanding F in 151 that may or may not need to be taken care of

Ah, yes.. Calculus for (blank) students. I think they have one for business and biology.. maybe others.

I heard that's the "for dummies" version of the course but it doesn't count for some degrees.

Ok, yeah, that's kinda what I thought, I suppose I will take 151 (or 150) again in summer or fall 2008.

Our 151 prof was pretty cool. He bumped up some people who had Ds to C-s so they could use the course for credit.

You can get away with 154/155 if you're planning to do organic chem, biochem or biology since they don't requre the hard-core math that the phys-chem or physics majors need.

according to the sfu calendar, you still get credits for D.
