Of course you would feel different, but to what degree would depend on each individual person and their values. I didn't value my virginity as much as an average girl would have. It was just too much for me, I think, the idea that virginity for a woman is everything she's got going for her.
Of course it doesn't mean total desecration to your character by carelessly fucking whoever and whatever, but virginity in my point of view is really nothing special. It's a piece of tissue to me. The way I saw it, I wanted to try new things, a new activity. So instead of picking up tennis or joining the basketball team, I decided to screw.
Would you feel different if you finally took that sky dive you've been planning? Would you feel different after you've driven a car for the first time? Having sex for the first time is the same as trying anything new. Of course you'll feel different--the real question is: how much SHOULD it affect you and has it really benefited your growth as a person.
