using apple headphones i could hear them all the last (22kHz) was really faint tho
Speaking of which, if our headphones/speakers aren't even capable of outputting beyond certain frequencies, we should not misconstrue it for deaf-ness.
He said whoever made this did a really poor job because nobody (young people) should be able to hear after after 20kHz.
This isn't a very good test though, you can hear some stuff around 19-20kHz that's definitely lower-pitched than the ones lower. For those who are having to turn up the volume just to "hear" them, you're not doing it right. The volume shouldn't be changing, only the frequency, and if you're changing the volume to try to hear higher frequencies, then you're probably just fooling yourself.
My friend had something like this (a dog whistle) on his iPhone.. when he held 18kHz up to my ear, my head felt really weird and I started tearing up haha.
