Iphone + ustream

So i took a hw break today and finally installed the ustream app for the iphone
i must say its pretty sweet

it allows you to create/login to a www.ustream.tv account and either broadcast live or just record ur video (has chat, vote, twitter, +more options)

for those with [jailbroken]iPhones (or Nokias) u can try it out
install it from Cydia -> multimedia -> UstreamBroadcaster

i personally could only see myself using this app if i was really bored in lecture lol but someone might find it useful :P either way i still think its a cool app worth mentioning

    Imagine if iPhone had video recording you could literally do a real time stream of your life lol

    I'm guessing you can only watch live streams with the app right? I've been on the website before for a stream of Kevin Rose (founder of digg) he did a live q&a thing with random users.

    no this app does do live Streaming OR recording (you CANT watch streams with this app)
    if you want video recording to the iphones HD instead of up to ustream install Cycorder

    so a 3g iphone + data plan means u could broadcast everything up to ustream using iphone hahah
    i tested it in lecture today and the lag over sfu's wifi network is pretty bad :(

    looking at other apps on Cydia it appears there are other similar apps that let you use the iphone to upstream video to websites

    Wow that's amazing I'm def. gonna try it out

    My favorite app right now is TruPhone which basically allows you to make phones calls over any available wifi connection...and it's legit you don't have to have an unlocked phone. The best part is that they have an app for the iPod Touch as well, so you can effectively use your Touch as a cell phone wherever wifi is available...perfect for SFU student's who don't want a montly cell phone plan right?

    ^ ya i used to use freecalls sip service in combination with fring so i could call people on msn and do voice or use the sip service for calling landlines or cells for free :)

    damn your way ahead of the game...i mean, way ahead of the apps hahai

    i just installd iBrate...the eTards are gonna be all over me at the next after hours party lol
